If you haven't heard yet David Beckham will be playing with AC Milan pretty soon. Right now he is on tour with his MLS team the Los Angeles Galaxy in New Zealand. David Beckham has continued to represent England in international play since he started his career in the US for the Galaxy. He still plans on doing this - which is a big reason why he is going to play with AC Milan for a few months so he can stay in shape and continue to be competitive when England needs him.

"It's important that I keep my fitness up and that's one of the reasons I'm going to Milan for a few months," said Beckham.

Beckham needs to keep up his fitness in order to be ready for international play and it's a great time for AC Milan to pick Beckham up - an unfortunate reason for the timeliness though. The reason AC Milan will be happy to see Beckham, besides the fact that he's a great player, is the fact the Kaka has been out lately with injury. We'll just have to wait and see how he meshes with the rest of the team. I'm sure they will all welcome him.
